We connect infrastructure expertise with targeted biological applications, from public sewer networks and hotel facilities to industrial wastewater and the sludge line. Each proposal starts with actual conditions, an agreed objective and operating costs.
These settings describe areas for assessment and design; they are not a catalogue of completed projects or a guarantee of results.

Municipal networks & pumping stations
BAUS field experience is the starting point. We assess targeted application in branches with recurring FOG deposits, cleaning requirements, or odour and hydrogen sulfide issues. Upstream dosing points are connected with downstream monitoring, so the evaluation addresses system operation rather than only the appearance of a single manhole.
We assess grease interceptors, kitchen branches, local pumping stations and, where present, a private wastewater treatment facility. The programme is designed around actual facility operation and available maintenance data. The objective is to evaluate whether a suitable biological intervention can limit the reaccumulation of organic deposits and the associated operating burden.
Our initial focus is dairy plants, meat processing and prepared-food production. The choice of approach follows characterisation of the actual wastewater and coordination with the facility operator. Organic and FOG loads, existing treatment and sludge-management objectives are assessed. A protocol from a different production process is not transferred automatically.
An intervention may be considered in a defined part of a WWTP rather than across the entire system. Together with the operator and suitable process support, we assess whether organic-sludge management, supernatant removal and dewatering can be supported. We distinguish changes in dry solids from lower wet weight and examine which transport or disposal costs are actually avoided.
We are investigating specialist microbial and micronutrient support programmes for anaerobic digesters. Before any application is proposed, technical data for the specific feedstock, suitable scientific support and a trial plan are required. Evaluation will focus on process stability, methane production relative to feed and total cost. This is not yet presented as a confirmed BAUS application programme.
