APPLICATION SETTING / TREATMENTBAUS ENVIRONMENTAL
The network and WWTP are one system.
Upstream intervention is also assessed through the wastewater received by the plant. For specific process problems, the proposal is formed with a suitable scientific specialist and the operator.
Characterisation before intervention
We examine flows, organic load and available substrate. Success in one process does not transfer automatically to another.
Biomass and retention time
We distinguish hydraulic retention time (HRT) from solids/biomass retention time (SRT). Evaluation is tied to the specific objective.[R5]
Sludge: evaluate on a dry basis
We examine dry-solids inventory, wasting, effluent solids and dewatering changes. Lower wet volume alone does not mean lower solids production.
The right outcome
We evaluate quality, stability and actual operating cost — not a pre-guaranteed reduction percentage.
