EVIDENCE / MANUFACTURER REPORTS

Application data. Clearly attributed.

We summarise public application data published by Microbial Discovery Group (MDG). These reports describe results from specific programmes, not BAUS projects or independent verification. We read them together with their application conditions and the limits of the available data.Accessed: 29 September 2026

Municipal network: FOG and H₂S

Addition of Biotifx® Liquid Max Significantly Reduces H₂S and FOG in A Municipal Sewer System

FOGH₂S
Application setting
Municipal network, three upstream locations; 30 treatment days followed by withdrawal.
Reported finding
MDG reports 70% lower FOG accumulation and a 99% reduction in mean H₂S concentration.
Methodological qualification
Calcium nitrate continued at different doses between periods. This is a combined programme, not isolated proof of bioaugmentation alone.

Sludge line: handling and dewatering

Biotifx® ULTRA Improved Sludge Digestion, Decanting, and Pressing While Lowering Disposal Cost and Odors

SludgeOdour
Application setting
A 60-day application in two aerated sludge holding tanks.
Reported finding
MDG reports cake solids increasing from 10.8% to 12.5%, with 25.8% less total disposal weight.
Methodological qualification
Lower wet weight is not an equivalent dry-solids reduction. Odour was subjectively rated by an operator.

Lagoons in series: sludge and available volume

Biotifx® ULTRA Reduces Sludge and Increases Retention Time in Lagoons in Series

SludgeLagoons
Application setting
One year of treatment involving two lagoons in series.
Reported finding
MDG reports accumulated sludge reductions of 53% and 24%, and 12.3 days of restored hydraulic retention.
Methodological qualification
A third-party survey is cited, but its full report and a dry-solids balance are not public. This is not an annual sludge-production reduction.

Company series of 20 municipal applications

The Underlying Cause of H₂S and How to Reduce It

H₂SMunicipal networks
Application setting
MDG summary data from 20 municipal systems under differing conditions.
Reported finding
H₂S reduction is reported in 90% of trials, averaging approximately 50%.
Methodological qualification
Full raw data and a uniform controlled protocol are not published. The 90% is not a new-project success probability. Other reports may overlap.
